About me
Amy Grattan, Ph.D., is the executive director of the Sherlock Center on Disabilities. Her work in RI includes serving as a consultant to numerous RI initiatives focused on improving the quality of education for young children; participating and then leading the expansion and revisions of the RI Early Learning and Development Standards PD courses; providing technical assistance to RI state-funded pre-K classrooms, supporting RI school districts to improve the quality of their EC programs and implement an itinerant model of early childhood special education services. Grattan assisted RIDE with the comprehensive preschool program approval system. Formerly, she was a consultant for Connecticut UCEDD with the national Early Childhood Personnel Center where she worked with states to develop comprehensive systems of personnel preparation. Grattan is an adjunct faculty member at RIC.
